The Abu Dhabi Emergency Crisis and Disasters Committee has announced that students in Abu Dhabi will follow remote learning from the start of the new term.
Starting from 3 January all public and private schools as well as colleges, universities and training institutes, will carry out online classes for two weeks.
During these two weeks testing campaigns for education sector staff will be increased and the situation constantly monitored to ensure protocols are updated for the return to the classroom.
The decision to introduce online learning has been made as part of the precautionary measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 and maintain low infection rates.
