Expo 2020 Dubai is set to offer visitors with a culinary journey, from internationally acclaimed restaurants, local favourites, superstar chefs to Expo-exclusive eateries.
To make this edition of the World Expo inclusive, there will be multiple cuisines offered, tailored for various budgets.
The line-up will include American ‘Gypsy Chef’ David Myers, with a take on classic American fast food with an international influence at Adrift Burger Bar, Armenian-American chef Geoffrey Zakarian, who will debut at The National Bar and Dining Rooms with modern bistro cuisine from breakfast to dinner.
The restaurants are new concepts and will make their debut at Expo 2020 Dubai.
Matthew Kenney will offer renditions of American, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavours with his three plant-based restaurant concepts from the US and Mory Sacko will use French techniques to create his signature African-Japanese fusion cuisine.
Internationally-acclaimed restaurants including Italian restaurant Scarpetta will launch its first-ever Burrata Bar at Expo and David Thompson’s renowned Thai street food chain Long Chim will also launch.
Rohit Ghai, one of the culinary world’s most in-demand chefs will bring his restaurant Kutir from London’s Chelsea to Expo 2020.
British concept Bread Ahead, specialising in gluten-free doughnuts and sourdough bread will also bring their Bakery School, Baron, a joint in Beirut will bring fresh ingredients from the farm and sea to its Mediterranean-inspired menu and Kojaki, a Japanese and Korean fusion concept, will bring signature dishes such as Korean barbecue and Japanese robata.
Additionally, Expo will also introduce a range of bespoke food concepts including Alkebulan African dining hall by Alexander Smalls will feature 11 chef-led concepts from across the African continent, Taste of the Gulf which highlights the region’s culinary heritage and Talabat, which will feature a cloud kitchen with a fleet of riders, delivery robots and robotic baristas.
Local favourites including Arabian Tea House, Al Farwania, Dampa Seafood Grill, Al Reef Bakery and Hanon Feras Sweets, Ravi Restaurant, Maraheb Yemeni Restaurant, Chicken Tikka Inn, Al Farwania Restaurant and Sarouja Restaurant and Café, will be highlighted.

Many of the 191 participating countries will also be serving authentic dishes and drinks at their pavilions.”
