The Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi has announced the expansion of the retail events and promotions under the platform of Retail Abu Dhabi.
The expansion of the retail calendar will help boost the Emirates tourism industry as it recovers from the issues faced by retail during the pandemic.
The new events will expand on the existing events including the Vogue Fashion’s Night, seasonal initiatives like the Unbox Amazing Summer Campaign and the Abu Dhabi Winter Shopping Season.
The Abu Dhabi Shopping Season will also return this year with exciting collections and deals as well as promotions including the Shop and Win programme.
The calendar will also cater to important dates in the UAE calendar, including Eid-Al-Adha, Spring and Summer and Autumn and Winter collection launches, Back to School, Chinese Golden Week, Diwali, UAE National Day sales as well as the Golden Jubilee celebrations to mark the 50th National Day.
The calendar will also feature global events along with two feature events, the Abu Dhabi Collectors Week and the Abu Dhabi Family Week.
His Excellency Ali Hassan Al Shaiba, Executive Director of Tourism and Marketing at DCT Abu Dhabi said, “2021 will see the most exciting roll-out of dedicated Retail Abu Dhabi programming, as a result of strategic collaborations with a consortium of global and local, public and private sector entities. As partners, we are all striving towards a shared goal, which is injecting purpose, passion and energy into the emirate’s tourism reopening and recovery. Introducing unique and first-in-the-region experiences, Retail Abu Dhabi’s 2021 calendar will continue to offer opportunities for both the retail and tourism industry.”
