Baby Products Withdrawn From UAE

The French baby products may be tainted with harmful bacteria

The Ministry of Health and Prevention has ordered retailers across the UAE to withdraw the French company Lactalis’s baby products immediately from circulation as they may be contaminated with harmful bacteria.

Lactalis has voluntarily withdrawn all batches of its products that were packed in its Craon plant because of possible contamination with salmonella agona, which can cause fever and diarrhoea.

Any agents authorised to distribute and sell the products in the UAE have been ordered to withdraw the French’s company’s baby products from distribution, the ministry said on Saturday.
