Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is organising a special number plate auction online today starting from 8am. The auction is offering 250 licensing plates comprising 3, 4 and 5 digits. You get Dubai number plates in private categories ((A-B-H-I-J-K-L-M-N-O-P-Q-R-S-T) starting from Dh1, 000 to Dh42, 000.
The participation in the auction requires client to have a Dubai registered vehicle, Dubai issued driving licence and an account opened through RTA’s website.
The customers are required to deposit a deposit a security cheque of Dh5, 000 with Dh120 as participation fee at RTA's Customers Happiness Centers at Umm Al Ramool, Bur Dubai, Deira or Al Tawar Municipal Centre. If you’re going about it online, use your credit card.
Once a client closes the auction on a number plate, he/she must pay the bid price within ten days. You can pay by cash or credit card at RTA customer happiness centres. The cash payments are acceptable up to DH 50,000. For amounts above DH 50,000, the customers are required to make payment through Manager’s Cheque or credit card. In case of not fulfilling the commitment of paying on time, the participant will be listed on the list of ‘defaulters’.
