The UAE's National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) announced changes to its early-warning system sound alerts.
From 9am to 10.30pm, the current high tone will continue, with a standard text message tone indicating the end of the high alert.
From 10.30pm to 9am, the standard text message tone will be used for both alerts and all-clear notifications.
Authorities added that this is an essential part of national preparedness and urged the public to follow instructions.
