A much-loved community initiative is set to return later this month as the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) launches a new season of its Reading Box programme at City Centre Mirdif from 28 October to 6 November.
Now in its tenth year, the Reading Box continues to foster a love of books and creativity, drawing families, students, and book enthusiasts from across the emirate. The initiative forms part of Dubai Culture’s broader mission to build a vibrant knowledge-based society, aligned with the UAE’s National Literacy Strategy 2016-2026 and the Quality of Life Strategy.
This year’s edition promises a rich lineup of interactive talks, poetry evenings, and creative workshops, bringing together local and resident authors, poets, and thinkers. Visitors can also explore diverse cultural disciplines and develop new skills through engaging hands-on sessions.
Since its inception, Reading Box has welcomed many families across the UAE and also students from across many schools. It has hosted many workshops and cultural activities, along with distributing books, celebrating a culture of knowledge.
