The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MoCCAE) has issued a public warning, through its social media channels, regarding the ‘Uranus Star’ bottled drinking water brand, urging consumers to avoid its use or distribution. The Ministry confirmed that no official permits have been granted to import, sell, or trade any products under this name in the UAE.
The warning follows reports of product contamination with harmful substances in a neighbouring country. In response, MoCCAE has activated immediate verification and inspection measures, coordinating with local food safety authorities across all emirates to ensure the product has not entered UAE markets.
MoCCAE confirmed that ‘Uranus Star’ water has not been detected in major retail outlets within the country. However, the Ministry advised anyone who may have purchased the product from any source to dispose of it immediately and refrain from consumption to safeguard public health.
