The Al Salam Cycling Championship is set to return for its milestone tenth edition on 28 December, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
According to Dubai Media Office, it is the world's largest community cycling race in terms of diversity and prize value. The total prize pool for the last edition was Dhs 3.5 million, while this year's prize details are yet to be announced. Over the last decade, thousands of participants from various nationalities took part in the event, celebrating community, women empowerment and health.
This year’s event, themed 'Ten Years of Achievements and Success', will feature four key races: the UAE Nationals Amateur Race on 28 December, the Elite Race on 18 January 2026, the Women’s Race on 25 January 2026, and the Desert Race on 1 February 2026.
All races will once again unfold within the stunning Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve, highlighting Dubai’s natural beauty and commitment to sustainability.
