Dubai Duty Free has set a new sales milestone in September, reporting a record-breaking Dhs 671.79 million in sales last month, its highest-ever result for the month of September.
The figure marks an increase of close to 12% in sales compared to the same period last year, while also outpacing passenger growth of around 4.2% in Dubai Airports.
The surge in sales was fuelled by strong demand for luxury fashion, electronics, confectioneries and gold.
Dubai Chocolate contributed to the momentum again, with a total of 350,000 pieces, worth Dhs 27 million, being sold last month alone.
High-end boutiques also saw a major boost, with the newly opened Louis Vuitton in Terminal 3 and Cartier in Concourse A driving significant revenues.
Tech played a central role too, as the Apple iPhone 17 launch in mid-September contributed nearly Dhs 10 million in sales despite limited stock.
