A new fellowship programme, called Mohammed bin Rashid Government Fellowships, has been launched to strengthen the future readiness of Emirati government talent, offering advanced academic opportunities in partnership with some of the world’s top universities.
The initiative begins with two specialised master’s programmes, one in 'Economic Strategies and International Policy', and another in 'Artificial Intelligence for the Government Sector'. The first phase will see 200 Emirati professionals selected from public sector entities nationwide. All government entities in the UAE are invited to nominate high-potential Emirati professionals to join the fellowships.
Fellows will study at institutions including Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence, the University of Oxford, MIT, New York University, and Georgetown University. Participants will be evenly split across the two disciplines, with 100 focusing on economic strategy and policy, and 100 on applied AI in government.
His Excellency Mohammed Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, said the fellowships reflect the vision of the UAE leadership to invest in human capital, positioning the next generation of policymakers and innovators to drive national progress.
