Dubai Media Office

Dubai has unveiled a comprehensive system to measure and improve workplace productivity within federal entities, following a new resolution issued by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai.

By streamlining resources and improving service delivery, the resolution represents a significant step toward strengthening government performance and ensuring services continue to meet the growing needs of society.

The Workforce Productivity Measurement System will be rolled out in phases across government entities, with the Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) overseeing its implementation.

The initial phase will focus on evaluating productivity through established benchmarks, comparing services delivered against workforce size, salaries, working hours, and related data. These insights will guide initiatives designed to raise efficiency and enhance the quality of services.

The General Secretariat of The Executive Council will coordinate with key authorities, including the Department of Finance, Dubai Digital Authority, and DGHR, to ensure services and performance indicators are accurately classified and assessed. The DGHR will also play a central role in monitoring compliance, validating data and recommending measures to optimise workforce performance.

Meanwhile, the Dubai Digital Authority will provide technical expertise to support the system’s digital infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration of data and advanced analysis tools.
