Dubai Municipality has unveiled a new initiative, called the Mushrif Hub, that aims to transform Mushrif National Park into an exceptional recreational destination for the community. The newly launched project introduces a fresh concept in public leisure by integrating sports, entertainment and interactive community activities within a lush natural setting in the heart of the emirate.
Among the key highlights is a 50km mountain biking track, the longest mountain biking track in the city, divided into three levels catering to all skill sets, including a green track for beginners, a blue track for intermediate riders, and a challenging red track for experienced cyclists.
A 9.7km mountain walking trail, the first of its kind in central Dubai, offers further options for those seeking a connection with nature.
Mushrif Hub is also set to host various sporting and community events, including running and cycling races, creating an opportunity for both government and private sector organisations to engage with the community through entertainment and sports events.
As part of the initiative, Mushrif National Park also introduced a host of new amenities including new dining spaces and upgraded facilities such as changing rooms, showers and a chapel. Evening visits are also being enhanced with new lighting installations, which is expected to enhance the park experience after dark.
With these enhancements to the park, Mushrif Hub aims to encourage residents and visitors alike to engage in outdoor sports and community activities, supported by state-of-the-art infrastructure, in order to promote wellbeing and active lifestyles.
