The UAE has significantly expedited the processing time for work permits and residency visas, slashing it from 30 days to just five days nationwide. Initially launched in Dubai in March 2024, the Work Bundle portal has now entered its second phase, extending its reach across all seven emirates. This initiative aims to revolutionise the hiring process for businesses and private corporations, as well as streamline the pre-renewal of work permits for existing employees.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) shared this update on X, formerly known as Twitter. They announced that the Work Bundle now provides vital employment and residency services for private sector companies and individuals through a single, unified application form. This platform merges eight work and residency procedures into one, making services simpler for both employers and employees.
Previously, tasks that took a month could now be completed in just five days. And in its second phase, multiple government entities have collaborated, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE), the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, Emirates Health Services (EHS), Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), and the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi.

The Work Bundle platform streamlines eight work and residency procedures into a single, efficient system, eliminating duplication and simplifying the onboarding process for new employees. It handles issuing new work permits, requesting status adjustments, issuing visas and employment contracts, and managing Emirates ID, residency, and medical examination services.
Additionally, it simplifies the renewal of employment contracts, Emirates ID, and residency, as well as medical examination services, and the cancellation of employment contracts, work permits, and residency.
