Dubai, renowned as a haven of luxury, exquisite dining, and unparalleled attractions, stands as the ultimate destination for travellers of all ages. In a testament to its allure, Dubai witnessed a remarkable increase in international overnight visitors, welcoming 5.18 million tourists from January to March 2024. This represents an 11% surge compared to the 4.67 million arrivals during the same period in 2023, as reported by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) during the 31st edition of the Arabian Travel Market (ATM).

After achieving a milestone in 2023 with a record-breaking 17.15 million international overnight visitors, Dubai's tourism industry continues to build momentum in the first quarter of the year. This growth is in line with the ambitious objectives outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda, D33, aimed at strengthening Dubai's status as a top global destination for both business and leisure travellers.

Commending the achievement, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, said, "The number of visitors in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024 indicates that Dubai is on course for another standout performance this year after the emirate received a record number of visitors last year, with international visitors reaching 17.15 million. This will ensure that the tourism sector continues its growth journey in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai."

According to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan, Dubai's success as a tourist destination stems from earning the trust of visitors worldwide. This achievement is attributed not only to effective promotional campaigns highlighting Dubai's attractions but also to years of investment in developing top-notch infrastructure catering to citizens, residents, and visitors alike.
