Gulfood 2024, the largest global food and beverage sourcing event, has begun at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The 29th edition is anticipated to be the biggest so far, running until 23 February, with over 5,500 confirmed exhibitors from over 190 countries, with 49% participating for the first time. On day one, 19 February, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, toured the Gulfood 2024 event.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.
During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed was informed about products, services, and technological advancements in the food and beverage industry. These innovations focus on reducing costs, enhancing efficiency, reducing food waste, and strengthening supply chains. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed also learnt about the Gulfood Inspire Conference, which is being conducted as a part of the event.

Gulffood 2024 is taking place until 23 February and requires a paid admission. The visitor pass costs Dhs 595 and can be purchased through Gulfood's website. Until 22 February, attendees can explore the event from 10am to 6pm, while on 23 February, the event will run from 10am to 5pm.
