Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched a new weekend bus route, 'W20', starting today, 9 February. The newly launched bus route will operate exclusively over the weekends from Friday to Sunday between 5pm to 11pm. The service will offer half-hourly departures, connecting Stadium Metro Station with Al Mamzar Beach. This service is for the convenience of bus passengers, especially Al Mamzar beach goers.
With this newly launched bus service, RTA aims to optimise several public bus routes to elevate the daily transportation experience for passengers, ensuring smoother, more comfortable journeys to various destinations across Dubai.
Enhancements include the rebranding of route 11B to route 11, aimed at optimising the bus user journey. Furthermore, routes 16A and 16B will undergo re-routing and renaming as routes 16 and 25, respectively. Route 16 will commence its service from Al Rashdiya Bus Station, travelling to Al Awir, while route 25 will start from the Gold Souq Bus Station, with Al Rashdiya as its final stop.
Besides this, modifications will be made for some bus routes to enhance the daily travel experience for passengers: route F62 will extend to include Dubai Festival City and the Al Garhoud neighbourhood.
Route C04 will extend to the Mohammed bin Rashid Library. Route 103 will offer direct, non-stop service from its key station, Al Ghubaiba Bus Station, to Global Village, and route 106 will offer direct, non-stop service from its key station, Mall of the Emirates Bus Station, to Global Village. Route E303 is being rerouted via Al Ittihad Street to Sharjah.
