Fitness Events At The Dubai 30x30 Fitness Challenge

The 30x30 Dubai Fitness Challenge is an annual challenge held in Dubai that encourages individuals to take 30 minutes of their day to exercise, for 30 days. Back for the fifth year, the challenge will run from 29 October to 27 November and will offer a month-long calendar of events, taking place around Dubai.

Here are some of the activities to check out for the first week of the fitness challenge as well as some fun fitness hubs running throughout the month.

29 October to 4 October

DEKA Strong - 29 October

DEKA Strong is making its way to the UAE for the first time and will offer individuals with a fitness programme, similar to Spartan. The programme will offer individuals the chance to compete against other fitness enthusiasts and will focus on 10 DEKA zones including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, kneeling, jumping/stepping/climbing, getting down on the ground/standing back up, rowing, skiing and cycling.

The Halloween Run at Dubai Festival City Mall - 30 October

Gear up for the spookiest run of the year. Dubai Festival City Mall is hosting a Halloween themed run for the family. Dress up in your costume and enjoy a fun run with distances of 1km, 2.5km and 5km. All that participate in the run will receive medals, kids will receive sweet treats and a prize will be given out to the best costume.

Dubai Active - 28 to 30 October

Dubai Active is the biggest fitness and wellness event held in Dubai and is set to run for three days. This year’s edition of Dubai Active will feature a lineup of fitness enthusiasts and trainers, with free live activations and sessions to get your workout in as well as motivational and interactive talks by fitness speakers. When attending, enjoy shopping from a range of sporting and fitness apparel. The first round of Turf Games will also be held, which will focus on athletes going up against each other as individuals or pairs in a fitness competition.

Super Sports Canal Night Run - 2 November

Delight in a fun run at night along the Dubai Canal. While running, enjoy the stunning views of Business Bay and Dubai Design District. Hosted by Dubai Sports Council, the run will offer two distances, 5km or 10km. All participants will get a t-shirt, timing chip, medal, water and a certificate for completing the run.

Gate Avenue at DIFC Fitness Hub - 1 to 7 November

Enjoy a range of free sessions at the DIFC Fitness Hub for a week. The hub will offer a range of sessions including HIIT, pilates, yoga, fitness competitions and more. The hub is located within the gate building and will host classes daily from 4pm to 10pm.

Fitness Villages Around Dubai

Kite Beach Fitness Village

The Kite Beach Fitness Village is set to offer individuals a wide variety of classes, sports and activities. The free activities will run from 2pm to 11pm on weekdays and from 7am to 11pm on the weekend. Based on the interests as well as levels, 15 sports and fitness zones have been created and will offer HIIT sessions, yoga, cycling and watersports. A ladies only zone and a zone for kids with games have also been set up. The main stage will feature classes and sessions from fitness instructors.

Expo 2020 Fitness Village

The Expo 2020 Fitness Village is set to offer visitors a fun take on fitness with a series of activations and sessions. The area will offer a multipurpose area, a gym, football pitch, cricket net, global main stage and more. Running challenges will also take place at the Expo site and will give visitors a stunning view of all the 191 pavilions. Additionally, special sessions will take place on the fitness stage that will focus on flexibility, mobility, injury rehab and more.

Hatta Fitness Hub

Hatta Fitness Hub will offer guests a change in scenery with free events and activations. Guests can enjoy activities including hikes, mountain biking, yoga, climbing walls, inflatable assault course and more. During the challenge, the Yoga Bus will host guided hikes, yoga and meditation from Sundays to Thursdays. Individuals can also join group mountain riding sessions by Airwrecks on Wednesdays, MTB Community rides on Thursdays and Road Bike Community rides on Friday.

Mushrif Park Fitness Village

Mushrif Park, the family park will also host a fitness village throughout the month during the Dubai Fitness Challenge. The park will offer six zones focusing on family-friendly activities, dedicated spots for women, aqua Zumba and aerobics. Additionally, a specific zone for children will also be available along with obstacle courses and skill challenges.

D3 and Gold Gym Fitness Hub

The Block Park at Dubai Design District has been converted into a fitness hub for the Dubai Fitness Challenge. Along with Gold’s Gym, the fitness hub will offer group classes, training sessions, yoga and more. The courts, through MVP Academy and Badminton World Federation, will also host basketball, volleyball and badminton matches. The hub will be open daily from 4pm to 9pm.
