Rachel's Iconic Thanksgiving Dessert At Hampstead Bakery And Cafe!

Thanksgiving is a great time to come together with family and friends and be thankful for all the great things that have happened over the past year.

With celebrating the annual day, many are reminded of the iconic comfort show Friends and their extremely relatable and chaotic Thanksgiving episodes.

However, one episode in season 6 stands out, and that is episode 9, titled 'The One Where Ross Got High' and will forever be iconic with Rachel's disastrous dessert.

Tasked by Monica to make the dessert for the meal, Rachel sets out to make an English trifle, but as the pages are stuck together, she confuses the recipe and makes a shepherd's pie/ trifle mix.

To celebrate Thanksgiving in all the Friend's glory, Hampstead Bakery and Cafe at Downtown Burj Khalifa is going all out with a brilliant recreation of the English Trifle by Rachel.

Made with ladyfingers, jam, custard, raspberries, bananas, and lamb sauteed with peas and onions, topped with whipped cream, the dish is definitely one to try for all the Friends binge watchers.

In the words of Joey, "What's not the like? Custard? Good. Jam? Good. Meat? Good!"

The trifle is truly a dish to experience, and although it received adverse reactions from the friends on the show, tastes really good.

The meat adds a savoury element to the sweet dish, balancing out the flavours and making it enjoyable.

Definitely, a must-try if you are an avid Friends watcher that has been intrigued by how the dish tastes.

The dish is available from 24 to 26 November and is priced at Dhs 35 for a single serving and Dhs 85 for a big serving.
