This season, Chef Remi has pushed classic French cooking techniques to the limits with the launch of his chic and innovative haute cuisine menu. To help you get a feel for what’s on offer, Le Classique are hosting ‘Gourmet Tuesday’, the perfect opportunity to sample the Chef’s top ten dishes, along with a delicious starter and dessert buffet. The package also includes pairing with a dozen varieties of reds and whites to complement your meal.
What we ate
The starters were presented on a well-stocked chilled station and included tuna sashimi, Russian king crab, seared scallops and traditional French onion soup, to name a few. Our particular favourite was the Burratta cheese served with tomato soup, lime zest and aromatic pesto, mmm! For the mains the Chef’s top ten dishes are selected from the menu and served in bite sized portions, while a cooking station prepares Wagyu beef filet and seared Foie Gras to your liking. With no limit to the amount you can order, you can try all the delicious options and find your favourite - ours was the Wagyu beef! At the end the evening desserts are a must, and the choice of French classics have been given a touch of modern flair by Chef Remi. We tried the selection of cheeses from Hervé Mons and the Crêpes suzette.
Verdict
The Gourmet Tuesday menu is the perfect way to sample Chef Rami’s new offerings and together with the wine pairing, it makes for a memorable evening.
