Events Postponed Over Coronavirus Precautions

A number of major events have been postponed and cancelled as a preventive measure due to coronavirus. 

Here's a list of some of the key events which have been confirmed as either postponed or cancelled by organisers: 

Madness at The Irish Village: The legendary British ska band Madness were scheduled to perform live on Thursday 5 March, however organisers have confirmed that the event has been rescheduled for later in the year and will take place on 12 November. Ticket holders can either use their existing ticket for the rescheduled performance or get a full refund. 

Ultra Music Festival in Abu Dhabi: An electronic music festival scheduled to take place on Thursday 5 March and Friday 6 March has been cancelled. 

AKS Colour Carnival 2020: Dubbed as the ultimate Holi experience in the UAE, AKS Colour Carnival, was due to take place in Dubai Sports City on Friday 6 March 6 has been cancelled.

Taste of Dubai: The ultimate food and fun event, scheduled to take place from 12 to 14 March at Dubai Media City has been postponed until December this year. A statement released by the organisers reads: “Due to the continued global developments regarding the COVID-19 (coronavirus) and following precautionary measures being implemented by the UAE government, this year’s Taste of Dubai 2020 at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre has been postponed … and will be extended for an additional day and take place December 9 to 12, 2020. All purchased tickets can be rescheduled to our new dates or refunds may be requested by contacting: helpcenter@platinumlist.net or 04 457 3212.”

Music Bank at Coco-Cola Arena: The two K-Pop events were scheduled to take place this month at Coca-Cola Arena. While the K-Pop Super Concert on Friday 20 March will run as usual; the Music Bank show on Saturday 21 March has been postponed. Dates have not been announced as yet. Customers will receive an automatic refund from Coca Cola Arena.  

Dubai International Boat Show 2020: The prestigious marine event scheduled to take place for five days from Tuesday 10 March has been postponed to and will run from 24 to 28 November 2020 and will be located at its new home in Dubai Harbour.

Yogafest Al Ain: The Al Ain edition of Dubai's popular Yogafest which was scheduled to take place at Al Jahili Park on Thursday 5 March and Friday 6 March, has been postponed. No future date for the event has been announced as yet. 

Russ At Coca-Cola Arena: American rapper Russ live show at Coca-Cola Arena scheduled to take place on Friday 27 March has been postponed until Friday 27 November this year. Tickets will be valid for the new date which is 27 November.
