Dubai Taxi Company PJSC (DTC) has officially completed its 100% acquisition of National Taxi LLC for a final consideration of Dhs 1.45 billion. The transaction establishes DTC as the largest transport operator in the United Arab Emirates, expanding its combined fleet to more than 9,500 vehicles across the country.

The acquisition was finalised following formal regulatory approvals from Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Abu Dhabi’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC).

With this transaction, DTC’s market share in Dubai rises to approximately 59%, while the operator secures a significant 12% share of the transport market in Abu Dhabi.

The move creates a unified multi-emirate transport platform aimed at increasing operational scale. National Taxi, which previously operated around 2,700 vehicles, reported revenues of Dhs 774 million for the financial year ending July 2025.

The integration is expected to improve fleet availability and streamline cross-border travel. The state-backed operator intends to consolidate back-office operations, such as finance and procurement, while maintaining the familiar consumer-facing National Taxi branding for the immediate future.
