Coastal cities across the United Arab Emirates will experience peak summer heat this weekend, with temperatures in Dubai and Abu Dhabi forecast to reach up to 43°C between Friday 3 July and Sunday 5 July.

According to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM), the weather will remain fair in general, with rising overnight humidity along the coast and localised blowing dust on Sunday.

Across Dubai, Friday 3 July will see a maximum daytime temperature of 41°C, dropping to a minimum of 28°C overnight. The temperature is expected to climb slightly higher on Saturday 4 July, reaching a peak of 42°C with overnight lows of 29°C. By Sunday 5 July, daytime temperatures will ease back to 39°C, whilst lows will hover around 30°C.

In Abu Dhabi, the weather will be marginally hotter during the day. The NCM predicts peak temperatures of 43°C on both Friday and Saturday, with overnight minimums dipping to 29°C and 28°C respectively. Sunday will bring a high of 41°C and a low of 29°C to the capital.

Despite the high actual temperatures, humidity levels reaching up to 65% in Dubai and 75% in Abu Dhabi will make conditions feel several degrees warmer.

Conditions in the northern and eastern emirates present a slight variation. Sharjah and Ajman will mirror Dubai's coastal conditions, experiencing highs of 41°C and lows around 29°C to 30°C. Ras Al Khaimah will remain slightly hotter, averaging daytime maximums of 43°C. Fujairah and the eastern mountain ranges continue to be the coolest regions in the country, offering milder highs of 36°C and overnight lows of 31°C, alongside occasional low cloud cover. Inland locations, such as Al Ain and Liwa, face the highest temperatures nationwide, with the temperature expected to reach between 44°C and 45°C.
