Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has announced the temporary closure of the bus and taxi service road at the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Metro Station, with the restriction scheduled to remain in place until the end of 2026. During this period, the affected service road will be restricted strictly to construction vehicles, meaning daily commuters and motorists must adapt to updated access routes.
To minimise disruption for public transport passengers, the RTA has implemented an integrated traffic management plan. A new alternative bus layby has been constructed directly alongside the existing stop to ensure feeder bus services continue operating smoothly without suspension. Clear directional signage has been erected to guide drivers toward alternative parking zones and clear transit routes heading in the direction of Bur Dubai as well as Jebel Ali.
Transport authorities urge residents and visitors to plan their journeys well in advance and depart early during the construction phase.
