Dubai Police has announced the closure of several roads near the airport, including Airport Road and Airport Tunnel, following a fire that was contained due to a drone incident on Monday, 16 March. Motorists are urged to take alternative roads.
The authority said that Al Garhoud Bridge leading to Casablanca Street has been temporarily shut, along with the Cargo Village and Marrakech Street intersections heading towards the airport.
Dubai Civil Defence confirmed that the situation near the airport is under control and that the fire did not spread. Authorities also said no injuries were reported.
