The UAE is stepping up its efforts to bring artificial intelligence (AI) into the classroom with a new initiative that will train teachers to use AI tools in education.
Launched by the UAE’s Ministry of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications in collaboration with Microsoft, the 'Teachers Track' strategy aims to enhance how technology is used in schools and prepare students for an increasingly digital workplace.
Through 'Teachers Track', educators will learn how to integrate AI into lesson planning, student assessments and classroom activities to make learning more engaging and efficient.
The training also showcases successful examples of AI use in global education and offers teachers hands-on experience with the latest tools. Educators who are interested in participating can visit the Ministry's website for more details.
The programme forms part of a national goal announced last year by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, to train one million people in AI by 2027.
