Emirates NBD has expanded its popular DirectRemit service, enabling customers to send money instantly to more than 40 countries worldwide. The move strengthens the bank’s role as a regional leader in fast, secure, and affordable cross-border payments.
Customers can now transfer money instantly to more countries across Europe as well as Australia, Singapore, and Hong Kong, joining existing corridors such as India, Pakistan, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, the UK and Egypt. The service offers real-time transfers, competitive exchange rates and reliability, and can be accessed through the ENBD X Mobile Banking App and Online Banking.
Launched in 2014, DirectRemit has transformed how UAE residents send money to family and manage international expenses. With this expansion, Emirates NBD now serves a great number of the UAE’s expat community, supporting everything from monthly remittances and education fees to mortgages and overseas investments.
Emirates NBD’s latest upgrade is powered by its robust digital infrastructure and partnership with Nium, a global fintech leader in cross-border payments, ensuring top-tier compliance, security and speed.
Customers can start using the new transfer corridors immediately via Emirates NBD’s mobile and online platforms.
