The ’10 million meals’ initiative launched by his Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has concluded.
The initiative launched just before the start of the Holy Month of Ramadan was set to provide at least 10 million meals and food parcels to those most in need, and has in fact secured over 15 million meals. A tweet posted by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed on his Twitter feed announced that there were over 1000,000 individuals from 115 different nationalities participating in the initiative and over 1,000 volunteers are ensuring the meals continue to be distributed each day.
