Cloudy Skies, High Temperatures And Some Rain Forecast For The Weekend

The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) is forecasting high summer heat in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will and increasing humidity, and some rain in eastern and southern regions this weekend.

In Dubai and Abu Dhabi, daytime temperatures are expected to hit a maximum of 44°C on Friday and dropping to a high fo 43°C on Saturday and Sunday in Abu Dhabi, and in Dubai 43°C on Saturday and 41°C on Sunday. Evening temperatures will reach a low of 31°C overnight. Humidity is forecast to surge late in the evening and into the early hours of the morning, peaking at 90% along the coast, which may trigger mist or light fog.

While Dubai and Abu Dhabi are expected to remain dry, the NCM is forecasting convective cloud formations in the eastern and southern parts of the country. Moderate to heavy showers are expected over Al Ain, parts of Ras Al Khaimah, and southern desert regions near Liwa. 

With maximum relative humidity hitting 90% in coastal areas, motorists are advised to drive with caution during early morning fog.
