Dubai’s Museum of the Future has announced it will temporarily close its doors to visitors in mid-September 2026 to undergo a complete exhibition overhaul.

The landmark attraction on Sheikh Zayed Road is set to replace all its major interior displays with a brand-new generation of interactive, immersive experiences. The redesigned exhibitions are scheduled to be unveiled to the public in the first quarter of 2027, aligning with the architectural marvel's fifth anniversary.

The announcement was made official through the Museum of the Future's social media account.

The closure marks the final opportunity to experience the museum's inaugural exhibits. Visitors have until mid-September 2026 to book tickets and view the current displays, which focus on space exploration, health, climate change, and artificial intelligence. Operating hours and online bookings remain active until the closure date. Tickets are priced at Dhs 169 for general admission.

Further details regarding the upcoming exhibitions and tickets for the 2027 reopening will be published by the museum administration in the coming months.
