His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Visit Arabian Travel Market

On 8 May, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, attended the 31st Arabian Travel Market, the leading global travel and tourism event being held at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). 

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance; His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council; and His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA), Chairman of Dubai Airports, and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group.

During the tour, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan stopped by the Emirates pavilion, where he was briefed on the airline’s development plan for the next phase. Other stops on His Highness Sheikh Hamdan's tour included the pavilions of flydubai, Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism, Saudi Arabia and Visit Qatar.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan, during a meeting of The Executive Council at the Arabian Travel Market, noted the substantial rise in international visitors in Dubai in the first quarter, highlighting the city's ability to sustain rapid tourism growth. Emphasising Dubai's status as a premier tourism destination, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan stressed the continuous exploration of innovative ideas to enhance traveller experiences. 

Additionally, The Executive Council endorsed a strategy to enhance traffic circulation in Dubai, aiming to boost business productivity and enhance residents' well-being. The strategy involves enhancing key public bus routes to reduce travel times by up to 59%. Moreover, it entails promoting the use of school transportation among students to ease congestion near schools by 13%. Furthermore, the strategy seeks to expand the adoption of flexible working hours and remote work policies in both public and private sectors to ease traffic congestion citywide.
