Temperatures To Hit 48°C Across The UAE This Week

High summer temperatures, reaching up to 47°C in inland regions and 45°C along the coast, will prevail across the United Arab Emirates from Monday 3 August through Thursday 6 August, according to the official four-day outlook from the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).

In Dubai, daytime temperatures are expected to hit 46°C on Monday, and hold steady at 45°C on Tuesday, Wednesday on Thursday. Overnight lows will range between 32°C and 34°C. Humidity levels  in coastal areas of the emirate during early morning and late evening hours will peak at 85% on Monday and then drop to to around 70% on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, causing conditions to feel significantly warmer than the ambient reading.

In Abu Dhabi, maximum temperatures will range between 45°C and 48°C throughout the period, with nighttime lows remaining between 33°C and 35°C. 

Conditions across the Northern and Eastern Emirates will follow a similar summer pattern with Sharjah, Ajman, and Umm Al Quwain having highs between 42°C and 46°C and lows from 29°C to 32°C with morning fog or mist patches. Ras Al Khaimah will see highs ranging from 44°C to 46°C and lows around 30°C. Fujairah will have maximum temperatures between 37°C and 38°C. Afternoon cloud cover over the eastern mountains will create a chance of localised rain showers and freshening winds.
