The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has forecast an intense weekend weather pattern from Friday 31 July through Sunday 2 August, marked by inland temperatures topping 47°C, elevated overnight humidity, and convective rain clouds over eastern and southern areas.
While coastal cities will experience oppressive heat and sticky overnight humidity, convective clouds are expected to form every afternoon over the southern regions, bringing a likelihood of localised rain and gusty winds.
In Dubai, conditions will remain predominantly fair to partly cloudy, but extremely warm and humid, with daytime maximum temperatures will range between 43°C and 46°C over the weekend, and nighttime lows dropping to around 31°C to 34°C. Relative humidity along the coastline is set to reach 85% overnight, creating muggy conditions during late evening hours and early mornings.
In Abu Dhabi, temperatures will peak between 43°C and 46°C, with overnight minimums resting near 30°C to 32°C. High humidity in western coastal areas may lead to early morning mist or fog patch formation on Saturday and Sunday, potentially reducing visibility on major inter-emirate highways.
Internal regions face the highest heat levels in the country, Al Ain will hover between 46°C and 47°C. Overnight lows in these areas will drop to 32°C and 33°C.
Daytime maximums in Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain, will be between 42°C to 46°C. Overnight minimums will range between 29°C and 32°C. High coastal humidity will persist across these emirates throughout the night.
Fujairah and the eastern coast will offer slightly milder daytime conditions, with highs between 38°C and 43°C and lows around 32°C to 33°C.
