Sharjah Airport has seen a significant surge in passenger traffic during the third quarter of 2023, surpassing 4 million passengers. This marks a remarkable increase of more than 12% when compared to the same period in the previous year.

During this time, there were 26,000 flights, which reflects the airport's improved services and ongoing development efforts aligned with its strategic vision. In addition, the airport managed to handle approximately 35,000 tons of cargo during this time, along with over 3,000 tons of sea-air freight. This demonstrates the airport's dedication to enhancing efficiency and its ability to promptly address specialised cargo operations, including handling, shipping, and storage.

Sharjah Airport Authority is persistently working on its expansion project to ensure passengers have easy access to services and enjoy a remarkable travel experience.

Additionally, the Authority is equipping regional and international airlines with necessary amenities, expanding the range of destinations served, and actively engaging in global and regional aviation exhibitions to enhance Sharjah Airport's standing.
