UAE Honours Their Martyrs For Commemoration Day

Commemoration Day or Martyrs Day is observed on the 30 November 2020. On this day, we acknowledge the Emirati martyrs that laid down their lives to protect the nation.
One minute of silence was observed from 11.30am to 11.31am, to recognise the efforts they have made for the nation.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai showed his gratitude towards the heroes.
Residents of the UAE have also been showcasing their appreciation for the fallen heroes with the hashtags #Proud_of_your_sacrifices and #UAEisproudofyou.
The UAE shows their gratitude and appreciation towards the Martyrs and in order to honour them, they have announced multiple initiatives, including both governmental as well as non-governmental organisations, to pay a homage to the fallen heroes and to show their support to their families.
Wahat Al Karama, which means the Oasis of dignity, was built as the martyrs’ memorial in honour and recognition of Emirati martyrs’ sacrifices. It is situated in Abu Dhabi, facing the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.
National Archives have also announced that they will be creating “Martyr’s Archive”, to honour the brave soldiers. Along with the archive, a museum is being established to document the lives of all the fallen heroes.
