Over Half A Million People To Arrive In DXB

Dubai is all set to get busy again as it welcomes back returning residents from post Eid holidays and long summer vacations ahead of the start of the the new academic year in the first week of September.

According to the Emirates Airlines, it is going to be a very busy time between now and early September as the carrier is expecting to bring around 500,000 people, excluding transit passengers, into Dubai International Airport (DXB).

Mohammed Mattar, Divisional Senior Vice President of Emirates Airport Services says,"With another record-breaking period coming up when it comes to passenger arrivals, we want to ensure that Emirates customers coming back to Dubai have the best experience possible starting from disembarkation through to every touchpoint and have positioned extra resources to ensure a speedy arrival journey."

For those residents arriving in Dubai over the next few days, being prepared when landing will make the process easier. To make the 'airport process' convenient, they should have their Emirates ID handy to go through the convenient and speedy Smart Gates. Families arriving with children can also ease their airport experience and take a stroller conveniently located near to each Emirates gate and can also opt for the Emirates Home Delivery service where their luggage will be delivered to their home.

Over this period the taxi lines are expected to be a little longer than usual, however there is always the option to use the Dubai Metro conveniently connected with the airport, that operates services from terminals 1 and 3 every 10 minutes between 5am and midnight during the week and 10am and 1am on Fridays.
