Repton School Dubai along with Emilio Angel Sanchez Vicario, Spanish five-time Grand Slam winner, has launched the Emilio Sanchez Academy.
The new academy located at the Repton Nad Al Sheba campus will offer 11 tennis courts, with a central court, three padel tennis courts and a multidisciplinary clinic.
Launching in January 2022, the academy will help develop students both academically as well as athletically.
The tennis academy will follow a high-performance pyramid training system based on technical, tactical, physical and mental.
Students will be able to participate during the school day at the programme and the after school programme will be open to people in the UAE.
Seasonal boot camps, all year coaching and advice from professional players will also be given.
The academy is open to all ages from the early year's foundation stage to post 16.
Additionally, the academy will offer technologies including biomechanics, to analyse the best way to hold the racket, shoulder angles, wrist rotation and the player stand as well as use GreenSet, which is a non-slip, durable surface for high-grade tennis courts.
