The Sharjah Executive Council (SEC) has announced a 50% discount on fines for all municipal violations in Sharjah. The SEC meeting was chaired by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council, at the Sharjah Ruler’s Office. The discount is valid for 90 days on all violations issued before 5 September.
Authorities will announce more details on this scheme soon. Besides the fines, SEC discussed various issues related to the progress of government work, new development projects and more. The council also issued a decision for granting assistance to homeowners affected by natural disasters in Sharjah. In line with the decision, the Department of Social Services must provide assistance to people whose homes are damaged due to natural calamities.
Furthermore, the council also issued a decision to attach the Dog Care Centre in Sharjah, affiliated with the Environment and Natural Reserves Authority, to the Sharjah Sports Council.
