The Urban Bar & Kitchen (ubk) at Movenpick JLT is a lively sports bar with a cosy indoor pub vibe and a relaxed outdoor decking area over-looking the lake. The kitchen serves traditional British pub food with an added twist and it is a great place for a quick lunch, after work drinks or catching the latest sporting action.
What we ate
We plumped for the Bangers and Mash - beef sausages, creamed potato, peas, Yorkshire pudding and caramelised shallot jus; and the Shepherd's Pie served with veg and a side salad. We finished off with a Knickerbocker Glory (I mean how could you resist?!) and The Snickers.
Verdict
Great food, great prices and a great vibe!

Starters are priced from Dhs 30, mains from Dhs 45 and dessert from Dhs 35. This month, join the celebrations as ubk turns One on Friday 28th November. There's a Friday Drunch and a live band, priced at Dhs 175 per person for the all-you-can-drink package on selected beverages from 3.30pm to 6.30pm.
Alternatively, try the One to One - ubk madness. From 1pm to 1am buy ubk's "#Oneburger" and get another on the house
or bask in selected beverages for as low as Dhs 19. The later it gets, the better the decks, as the resident DJ gets the party pumping.
