Review: Long Yin at Le Meridien Dubai Hotel and Conference Centre

A visit to Long Yin at Le Meridien Dubai is like taking a leisurely stroll along the colourful streets of Hong Kong. Relish the flavours and texture of soft, handcrafted dim sums, skilfully prepared by Chef George and his team, or indulge in the authentic tastes of traditional Cantonese and Schezwan dishes. If you love seafood, why not pick the freshest catch of the day from the live fish tank and let the experts cook it to perfection. This year’s menu has a new look, mixing your all-time favourites with a dedicated section of 34 varieties of steamed and fried dim sum.

What we ate

We started with the most fantastic fried prawns with wasabi cream, steamed chicken dumplings and steamed beef sio mai, followed by Peking duck with pancakes and hoi sin sauce. Chef George then prepared a selection of dim sums from the new menu, which were all amazing! For mains, we tried the deep-fried chicken breast with sweet and sour sauce, wok-fried diced chicken with Guilin chili ginger and garlic sauce, pan-fried chicken fillet with lemon sauce and Chef George’s special Vietnamese style wok-fried tenderloin beef cube - delish!

Verdict

While the décor and ambiance set the scene for a truly authentic meal, the quality of the food was exceptional and we highly recommend it to anyone who loves Chinese cuisine.
