Dubai Police's Iftar cannon event witnessed a wide community turnout during the Holy Month of Ramadan. This reflects the depth of authentic Emirati customs and traditions during the blessed month.

Cannon sites have become daily gathering points for families, who bring their children to witness the traditional firing signalling Iftar and to take photos capturing the cherished custom in a joyful atmosphere.

Attendees described the event as a beloved symbol of Ramadan, embodying the community's connection to its heritage. Many noted that the moment of firing adds a unique sense of occasion to Iftar, particularly for children. Dubai Police also emphasised that the event revives Arab and Islamic customs and traditions within the UAE.

The mobile cannon will welcome community members at Meydan Hotel in Dubai on 27 February, which is 10 Ramadan, and at Hatta Dam from 27 February to 1 March, which is 10 to 12 Ramadan.

During the Holy Month of Ramadan, the mobile cannon will continue to visit a host of locations, including Global Village, Atlantis Hotel, Nad Al Sheba Majlis, Margham area, Burj Khalifa, Lehbab area, Al Khawaneej Majlis, Marsa Boulevard, Al Warqa area, Vida Creek Harbour, and finally Al Barsha Park.

Six permanent cannons are stationed throughout the month at key locations across the emirate: JBR, Burj Khalifa, Damac Hills, Expo City Dubai (Al Wasl Plaza), Dubai Festival City, and Vida Creek Harbour Hotel.
