Visa Changes To Come Into Effect In October

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (ICP) has announced that the visa changes will come into effect on 3 October.

The system was to come into effect in September but is currently being trialled.

The addition of the new visa system will cater to citizens, residents and visitors and will help enhance UAE's tourism.

With the update to the system, visa processes will be more streamlined and include more benefits.

Additionally, a third-generation UAE passport has also been launched.

The new passport will use laser technology on polycarbonate material instead of paper, making it harder to damage and forge and will offer added security features.
