Starlink, the super-fast satellite internet service backed by Elon Musk, is now officially available in the UAE. This means you can now sign up for the service!
Monthly residential packages starting at around Dhs 300, while the lower-tier residential lite plan is priced at Dhs 230 per month. Separate business plans are also available, starting from Dhs 248 per month.
The update follows the UAE’s appearance on Starlink’s official availability map, signalling that the service has gone live in the country. Developed by SpaceX, Starlink uses a network of low-Earth orbit satellites to deliver high-speed internet, particularly in places where traditional fibre or mobile coverage may be limited or unreliable. The satellites operate at lower altitudes than conventional satellite internet systems, delivering faster speeds and lower latency.
Starlink is already available in more than 150 countries, territories and other markets worldwide. In the UAE, its arrival builds on last year’s rollout of Starlink connectivity on Emirates and flydubai flights, extending the company’s footprint in the local market.
