Abu Dhabi Sports Council along with Daman Insurance has organised the Reach The Last Mile community race.
Set to take place on 19 February, the run is targeted at ending two neglected tropical diseases, river blindness and lymphatic filariasis.
These diseases affect over a billion people every year, around the world and a donation of Dhs 2 can help protect a person for a year against it.
The run will be held at Yas Bay at Yas Waterfront.
Runners participating need to have the green status on the Al Hosn App along with a negative PCR test taken within 96 hours.
Face masks need to be worn at all times and social distancing must be maintained.
