The General Department of Criminal Investigation (CID) has reported that there was a drop in criminal rates in 2021.
In comparison to 2020, there was a 31.2% decrease in crimes in 2021 with 14 new projects carried out by Dubai Police, to ensure the safety and security of all individuals.
According to the statistics from the Department of Anti-Economic Crime, 2,235 cases were recorded and 2,536 accused were arrested.
The Lost and Found Department noted that Dhs 305,000 worth of items out of Dhs 373,300 was returned to the owners.
12 individuals were also honoured for handing in found items and cash to Dubai Police.
