Retired Expats Can Now Reside In The UAE

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced that a new visa will be launched for retired expats.

The visa will allow individuals that have retired to live in the UAE in an effort to increase the flexibility of residency laws and visa requirements.

To receive the visa, the retired individuals needs to either have a single property or more than one property worth Dhs 1 million, a bank deposit no less than Dhs 1 million or an active income no less than Dhs 180,000 per annum.

During the meeting, the cabinet approved standard healthcare services for women and newborns and a temporary licence to test self-driving vehicles has been approved and will make the UAE the first country in the Middle East and the second globally to test the application of self-driving vehicles.
