A family in Dubai have donated the organs of their 2-year-old son Vivaan, which helped save children requiring new organs.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, praised the family as the donation helped save three children in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
Vijith Vijayan and his family, are long term residents in Dubai and decided to donate to help others which His Highness Sheikh Hamdan said, "embodies the act of giving at its finest".
The medical procedures for the removal and transplantation of the donated organs were done at Al Jalila Children's Specialty Hospital.
His Highness Shiekh Hamdan also commended the medical team for successfully doing the procedure and transporting, which helped save lives.
