The National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has announced that the UAE has ranked first globally for the highest rate of vaccination individuals per one dose.
In comparison to other countries, the UAE is at the top for the rate of vaccinations per person for 100 people, in countries with a population of 1 million.
Our World in Data has announced that the UAE ranked second globally, in the number of fully vaccinated people per 100 people.
The UAE is third globally for the number of COVID-19 tests done for 1,000 individuals, for countries with a population of 1 million and fifth for the lowest COVID-19 related deaths globally.
Due to administering vaccines to the public, wide testing and trace efforts and creating a high awareness for vaccines among citizens and residents and highlighting their importance, there has been a 60% decrease in the number of cases since August 2020.
The decrease in cases makes it the lowest rating in over a year.
