With Expo 2020 right around the corner and the world anticipating the world's largest cultural event, Dubai is gearing up for the opening ceremony.
The ceremony will take place on 30 September with the doors to Expo 2020 opening on 1 October.
The event will be headlined by the talented Andrea Bocelli, an Italian tenor singer who has sold over 90 million records worldwide.
Joining him will be pop singer Ellie Goulding, pianist Lang Lang, Grammy-winning singer Angelique Kidjo, singer, actress and songwriter, Andra Day, Hussain Al Jassmi, composer, singer and Expo 2020 Ambassador, Emirati singer Ahlam Al Shamsi, singer-songwriter Mayssa Karaa and singer Mohammed Abdu.
Viewers can delight in stunning visuals, music and performances by internationally renowned artists.
Franco Dragone, Creative Director of Cirque du Soleil and La Perle and Scott Givens, President and CEO of FiveCurrents will co-curate and co-produce the opening ceremony.
The event will be available to all and will be live-streamed at 7.30pm UAE time.
The opening ceremony will be held on the Virtual Expo website.
