In an effort to curb the ongoing pandemic and ensure the safety of the public, the national vaccination programme was created in order to provide immunisation to all.
The campaign started six months ago and now administers the Pfizer-BioNTech and Sinopharm vaccines to the public.
Through the campaign, over 2.3 million people in Dubai have received their vaccination.
The rate of vaccinations reached 83% for the targeted groups with 64% of targeted groups having received both doses of the vaccine.
20% of the targeted groups have still not received their vaccinations.
Dubai aims to vaccinate all eligible individuals by the end of 2021 and has since had the highest vaccination rates per 100 people.
